Supporting you

Pure and simple – we’re a virtual ‘boutique’
    marketing communications specialist!

Offering YOU the optimum team to work on a specific communication project, via our access to a network of highly talented individuals, who we hand pick to work on your projects and who really understand the older, more mature consumer.

Many of the team are mature individuals themselves with decades of experience of working with leading brands focussed on communicating to the older demographics – giving you reassurance that you are in safe hands. Our vision and passion is quite simply to work with you to support you to engage, connect and communicate more intelligently with this highly complex audience.

Here’s a small selection of our highly-experienced team:

    Graeme McKenzie – Founder & Director…aged 60+

With over 38 years of delivering marketing communications to this audience, on both the Agency and Client-side, I think there is a real lack of knowledge and understanding of the older, more mature consumer and the real impact of ageing. And that’s simply a wasted opportunity – so I’ve launched Let’s Talk Ageing to support organisations to become better informed and communicate more effectively with this complex audience!

Steve Gapper – Planning and Strategy

I’ve spent most of my career in financial services firstly in banking and then in insurance. I spent 7 years at Sun Life Direct promoting the Over 50 Plan to the general public and affinity groups and 8 years at Scottish Widows running their direct marketing business. Latterly I was Head of Marketing at Sun Life Financial of Canada before setting up my own marketing consultancy business.  Six years ago I set up with my wife a Home Instead Senior Care franchise helping keep older people in their own homes for as long as possible. The business now cares for 150 clients and employs 75 staff.  I’m a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing, a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a trustee of Age UK Mid Hampshire.

Mel Burton – Senior Mature Copywriter

I have a solid marketing background, with over 40 years’ experience, working in both marketing agencies and client side. I write copy and content for the ‘more mature market’. As I am one of them, I talk their language, I understand how to connect and communicate more effectively with them in a non-patronising, friendly, factual, jargon free, tone of voice.

I understand the practical effects of ageing, which affect behaviour, attitudes and decision making. I write communications with clarity, that are easy to understand, no matter how complex the subject.

    Engage and interact

Why not tap into our mature consumer panel?

We supplement our experience and insight of this audience via our panel of carefully recruited broad ranging group of older consumers, who we use to inform us of how ageing affects them and who can be called upon on to help verify, review and sense check your communications.
